Who We Are

THE DELTA EDUCATION AND LIFE DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, INCORPORATED (DELDF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public service and community organization dedicated to uplifting our community.

The mission of DELDF is to secure and distribute funds that support the impactful public service programs initiated by the Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Our aim is to enhance the quality of life for our diverse community through education, cultural enrichment, and social well-being.

As Chairperson of DELDF, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our loyal supporters and donors. Your unwavering commitment over the years has made a significant impact on our mission. Over the past 39 years, DELDF has proudly provided financial support to fund vital public service programs that reflect Delta’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, Physical and Mental Health, Political Awareness and Involvement, and International Awareness.

Thanks to your generosity, in just the past two years, DELDF has awarded over $201,550 in scholarships to 113 deserving high school and college students in Broward County. We distributed 6,800 FREE books to children from preschool to eighth grade and facilitated college readiness workshops that prepared students for SAT/ACT exams and scholarship applications.

Your support allows us to create educational and mentorship initiatives that empower our youth and strengthen our community. Together, we are fortifying the educational and moral framework that benefits today’s youth and shapes a brighter future for generations to come.

As we look to the future, we are excited to continue our efforts in expanding our donor base, enhancing our outreach, and solidifying our role as the “S.O.U.L. of Broward,” promoting Service, Outreach, Uplift, and Leadership.
