Kathleen C. Wright Life Development Center
The Kathleen C. Wright Life Development Center is the home to the various programs sponsored by the Delta Education and Life Development Foundation, Inc. The center is named in honor of Kathleen C. Wright, the first African-American elected to the Broward County School Board. In Delta, she held the position as the Regional Director of the Dynamic Southern Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (1978-1982) and also served on the National Nominating Committee of that organization. The center affectionately called “The Delta House” is located on the northwest corner of the beautiful Oswald Park in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This facility is utilized as a haven to conduct a wide-range of programs addressing education and economic development, physical and mental health, international and political awareness.
