Annually, the Delta Education Life Development Foundation, Inc., in partnership with various community organizations award scholarships to qualified high school and college students in Broward County to pursue higher education at institutions of their choice. Over $250,000 has been awarded in the past six years.

How It Works

1. Complete Scholarship Form

Creating a legacy of education is easier than ever with DELDF.org. Define your scholarship criteria, amount, and selection process. Don’t worry, we can help you through each step.

2. Define and fund your scholarship award

Define how much and how often to fund your scholarship award. You can donate once or monthly to support your scholarship goals.

3. Recipients receive their award at the annual May Week “In Pursuit of Excellence” ceremony

Once winners are selected, 100% of your tax-dedcutible gift will be awarded to the recipients and your legacy of education will leave an indelible impact on the next generation of leaders.

The Cora Eaves Braynon Nursing Scholarship is rewarded to eligible students enrolled into an accredited nursing program.

The  Mary Black Rizor Scholarship was established in  memory of Mary Black Rizor, a charter member of the Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  The scholarship is funded by public donors.

The  Maudine Peters Scholarship was established in  memory of Maudine Peters,  a longtime member of the Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  The scholarship is funded by public donors.

This is a Book Scholarship that is offered to students pursuing a degree in Social Work and/or other mental health related fields.  Students should have 2.5 or better GPA.

The Brain Love Scholarship was established to support youth who desire to pursue a career in the mental health field.

The  Kim B. Wright Scholarship was established in  memory of Kim B. Wright, a longtime member of the Broward County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  The scholarship is funded by public donors.
